SoilStructure Software is pleased to announce the release of SLOPE CREEP Software. It is analysis tool for slopes comprised of low plasticity silts and expansive clays that are prone to gradual but permanent slope movement.
Slope Creep takes into account creep height, slope inclination, soil cohesion, and other soil parameters for analysis. This is the only software available in the marketplace for slope creep analysis.
This Creep is different from secondary settlement or creep caused by organics soils.
In many parts of the world where expansive soils and slopes greater than 5 degrees are present, the surface of the slope tends to move parallel with the slope face. If structures are present near the slope, distress of the exterior walls followed by settlement of the floors are seen. In some cases the walls separate and major structural damage occurs.
The first step is to identify the slope creep problem. Then the second step is to come up with the magnitude of the slope creep force. The last step is to formulate a solution to arrest the slope creep movement. Currently, piers and grade beams are most popular.
Below is a demo of the slope creep software. This "demo" will unlock all the features and become full working version once registered.
