Are you designing a retaining structure or giving geotechnical paramters for design? You needed Lateral Stress Software Yesterday.

Do you have surcharges from traffic, cascading retaining walls and cell towers?

Are you asked to include Mononobe-Okabe Seismic earth pressures?

Are you wondering what effect a strip load will have on the proposed retaining wall?

Are you guessing how far down to take the surcharge pressures(why do you stop it at 10 ft?)

Are you deciding to exclude a cascading wall just because it is 1.0H away from the proposed wall? (it has influence beyond that!)

Well, we have Great news for you.  Lateral Stress Software by SoilStructure.com is designed to give you EXACTLY the lateral stresses imposed on to your proposed or existing retaining structure(s).

Also included is profile of pore water pressures. ( What if your drains become clogged ot the dewatering system fails?)

You may work in SI units or English units.  You may display your lateral earth pressure results in as little as 0.1 ft or 0.1 m increment. The charts are very well laid out and are included with a table of your calculated lateral earth pressure against any retaining structure.

For those designing cantilevber retaning walls, segmental walls, etc, you have no embedment, so just make h=wall height including footing thickness.

For those analysing sheetpiles, soldier piles, slurry walls, and multilevl tieback walls, make e=embedment depth.
  • Static Earth Pressure, either Active or At rest Condition,. Triangular or Rectangular with depth
  • Pore Water Pressure from GWT to bottom of retained structure
  • Uniform Surcharge from construction equipment or soil spoil
  • Strip Surcharge loadings from Cooper E80 or heavy buildings, or upper retaining wall
  • Line Load Surcharge from narrow retaining structure, or existing footing, or heavy compaction roller surcharge
  • Point Load Surcharge from electric pole, cell phone tower or similar structure
  • Dynamic (Seismic) earth pressures using Mononobe Okabe Parameters
  • Total lateral stress depth resulting from the above loadings
  • Multiple charts are included in the report
  • User decides increment depth of wall lateral stress to be displayed in results (0.01 ft or m ) if you chose

Once you have the lateral stresses, you may design mulilevel soldier piles with tiebacks using Equivalent Beam Principles. A must for geotechnical engineer, civil engineer, and structural or shoring design engineer.
